Annely Jane Celocia


Dr. Annely Jane R. Celocia is a Fellow of the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians, an active member of the Philippine Academic Society of Community Medicine and Philippine Society of Public Health Physicians, and a full-time faculty of Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM). She is also the Chief of Cebu Institute of Medicine Community Medico-Social Services, a primary health care facility located in Brgy. Paknaan, Mandaue City, Cebu where she trains resident physicians, post-graduate interns and senior clerks of CIM in community and preventive medicine. She actively collaborates with the local government unit in community-based projects.

Dr. Celocia is also the co-founder and adviser of Asian Medical Students’ Association Service-Oriented Medical Advocates (AMSA-SOMA) of CIM, a local member organization of AMSA Philippines. She has mentored and trained over three hundred medical student members and guided them to actively participate in projects related to community and public health and research. Being a public health advocate herself, Dr. Celocia has imbued in her students a strong sense of social accountability and encouraged them to be catalysts for social progress.

A driven family and community physician and a dedicated academician with almost ten years of experience and an excellent multi-tasker, Dr. Celocia is a conscientious leader with a strong background in organization and team development with ambitious plans for growth and service. She is a strong believer of the importance of primary health care as one of the key solutions to addressing health inequities in the country through integrating clinical science with public health at the community level.
